Short Course
A collaboration between
Queen Mary University of
London and Alemnis

The Course
This 2½ day intensive short course is designed to introduce novice nanoindentation users to the theory and practice of instrumented indentation testing. The course includes sessions on the basic principles of indentation testing, experimental methods and interpretation of test data including examples of common materials systems, surface modified layers and multi-phase materials. Each session includes hands-on practical experience on modern instruments.
Audience
The course is intended for current nanoindentation users who want to gain the experience and knowledge required to extract useful data from challenging sample materials. It is also intended for users of conventional indentation methods who are thinking of adding instrumented indentation to their portfolio of practical test techniques.
